Q&A Remote Coding

Good morning everyone,

Is it necessary for an employer to ask for the last 5 digit, home address, and month and day of birth of a candidate/applicant? This was done before even acknowledgement of being hired for the remote coding position. Please advise! Thank you guys!

I'm not sure - why don't you ask them why they need that info. I doesn't sound like they're getting critical info like full SSN or age discrimination by getting year of your birth.

Thank you Laureen. I verified that the company was legit. I do need your opinion if remote coding is a good start as a career? I have very little experience in coding, and I just got offered a remote coding position (outpatient). I am excited, but yet nervous because it is not something I had expected.

That's incredibly awesome Casseophea! Is it pay per chart or do they have a quote you have to meet? Why don't you schedule a consult call with me instead of going back and forth here https://www.timetrade.com/book/TKD1M
